Greg Williams Jr. is a Baton Rouge native and has been directing for over 12 years.  He is a graduate from Northwestern State University and earned his Masters Degree at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).  Williams has directed for theatres all over the country and is extremely excited to return to his roots at New Venture Theatre.  His past works include Five Guys Named Moe, Aida, T-Bone N Weasel, Fabulation or, the Re-Education of Undine, Jelly’s Last Jam and Little Shop of Horrors

Alvin Temple

Alvin has been an involved in the Baton Rouge arts scene for the past 15 years.  He has designed costumes for several New Venture Theatre (NVT) productions including Five Guys Named Moe and Fabulation or, the Re-education of Undine.  As an actor Alvin has performed in several productions including The Wizard of Oz, A Midsummer Nights Dream, and A Raisin in the Sun.  Having a broad artistic scope, Alvin also has dabled in dancing and chorography on several projects including Grease, Fame, and Five Guys Named Moe.  He is looking forward to contributing to New Venture Theatre and it's future productions.

Kelly Latchie is a versatile designer whose work encompasses everything from set design, designing large churches and intimate cafés.  Kelly is currently completing his last year at Southern University earning his BA in architecture and is looking forward to adding his touch to Baton Rouge’s growing urban development.  He has designed sets for popular plays and musicals including: T-Bone N Weasel, Fabulation, or the Re-Education of Undine, Five Guys Named Moe, and Step Off!  He is excited to return to the New Venture family and looks forward to working on other great projects with them in the future.

Ashley Self is no stranger to the stage, or New Venture Theatre.  As a Baton Rouge native she has been performing in theatre for the past 10 years.  From her first production of “Little Shop of Horrors” when NVT was known as  “Creative Company”, up until some of NVT’s more recent productions such as NVT’s original production of “Step Off” , and “Dearly Departed”.  Taking a small step off the stage, Ashley became stage manager for NVT’s 2009 production of “The Wiz”. While continuing to expand her artistic scope, Ashley has become more and more passionate about NVT, and its unlimited possibilities.

Mona Myers

Mona Meyers relocated to the Baton Rouge area from California 13 years ago. She has two sons that are both students at LSU (where she received her bachelor's degree in philosophy.)  She is the owner of Number Crunchers, a small bookkeeping company and is involved in several organizations including the Women's Council of Greater Baton Rouge,  Business Friends International, and the Freethinkers Organization. She also sits on the board of LAVOW Women's Theatre and American's United. "Although one may fail to find happiness in theatrical life, one never wishes to give it up after having once tasted its fruits."...Anna Pavlova.

Rosalind R. Reynard

Mrs. Reynard has been a performer and patron of the arts for many years. After being an event singer since age 15 and retiring from the Louisiana Department of Education, she decided to try musical theater at 50. She performed in "Showboat" (Ensemble), "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" (Jewel), "Chicago" (Matron Mama Morton), "The King and I" (Lady Thiang), and "The Wiz" (Evillene). She was also an adjunct professor in the psychology and rehabilitation services department for 10 years at Southern University. She is excited about her affiliation with New Venture Theatre and is looking forward to making a positive impact in our youth's appreciation and performance of theater arts, in her role as NVT''s volunteer education coordinator. Nina Irving Eaglin

Nina has over 10 yrs experience in the corporate business sector. She obtained a B.S. in Marketing from Louisiana State University. She is a former employer of the number one rental car company in North America where her expertise in marketing and management helped build many important relationships that lead to increased business and revenue. Nina’s success in developing relationships and cultivating two positions from the ground up positioned her in the company where she best served as trainer, recruiter, and employee advocate. Also as a member of the diversity team, she helped to ensure cultural awareness and helped create an inclusive work environment for all employees. Nina works as an independent consultant to small businesses providing leadership training, employee engagement strategies, and performance management. She currently resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Phillis Carter

Phyllis K. Carter is a native of Baton Rouge, La. Wife of Isaiah Carter Jr., and mother of one daughter, Jessica. She has been married for 27 years, and has worked in education for over 12 years. She became involved with New Venture Theatre in 2009, when her daughter was cast as Dorothy in NVT’s production of “The Wiz”. She has been a parent volunteer with the Mid-city Dance Project for the last five years. She has had an opportunity to perform with Mid-city’s production of “The Fading Line”, a 1953 Baton Rouge Bus Boycott , and background vocal with a Gospel Stage Play "The Garbage Man" directed by Calvin Emery. She is a member of Progressive Baptist Church, where she is one of the youth leaders. Phyllis looks forward to working with New Venture Theatre, and supporting them with all future events. She thanks God for her family, and for New Venture Theatre.
