Volunteering
NVT could not do everything without the help and support of our volunteers. If you would like to offer any volunteer services to New Venture Theatre please send an email to info@newventuretheatre.org. Please include your name, contact information, resume (if available) and a brief description of what your area(s) you may be interested in volunteering. We encourage everyone, regardless of age or experience, to join our family and help to create theatrical magic! All you need to do is have the desire to help; we'll teach you the rest and make use of the talents you bring to the group.

Some of the ways you can help include:
- Cast Is art calling to you? Can you see yourself behind the footlights, onstage in costume and make-up? Check out our audition notices and come and try out. We always need onstage talent of all skill levels, from leads, dancers, and ensemble. Don't be shy show us what you've got!
- Stage Crew Do you like to dress in black and speak softly into headsets? Or how about designing or hanging lights? Applying make-up and wigs? Looking for and organizing props? Ever wonder how we move entire sets during 15sec blackouts? If so, our run and stage crews are for you!
- Costumes Like to sew? You can help create our beautiful and authentic costumes in our costume shop.
- Set Building Ever want to build a castle? Maybe drafting and carpentry are up your alley? Learn skills of building a set and handling power tools by helping in our scenery shop.
- Infrastructure Organized by nature? Outside of theatrical productions there is a myriad of infrastructure volunteer positions work including publicity, finance, and even envelope stuffing!
- Meet and Greet Crew Ushers, concession stand, merchandise booth, and box office staff are always needed to make sure the production runs smoothly. If you have great customer service skills and a heart of service then we want you!

Education is a core aspect of New Venture Theatre’s vision. Throughout our history, we have offered unique educational programs that celebrate the artist within all of us. Through our Arts & Education Program we are able to bring arts workshops to your school. Our goal is to cultivate the next generation of theater artists, audiences and most importantly, critical thinkers, readers and writers.
Participation in NVT’s Arts and Education program gives our children the amazing opportunity to work with professional and non- professional, musicians, vocalists, dancers, actors, speakers , scholars and community leaders who are actively engaged in the arts. Most importantly our staff members are committed to sharing their gift with our children. Our program can change a child's life by nurturing the ability and desire to think critically, work collaboratively, build self-confidence, and become assertive, active members of society.

Private acting coaching is suited for both beginner and professional actors. It is ideal for "polishing" your auditions, preparing for a specific role, learning about the business, learning different film and theatre acting techniques, practice taking direction, dealing with personal creative blocks, and, breaking out of habits and more.
NVT’s approach is personal and efficient. We will pair you with the best coach to meet your needs, and they will meet you wherever you are in your career and help you move forward to the next level.
Fee: $35/hour

Yoga @ New Venture Theatre!!!
That’s right! New Venture Theatre now offers private and small group yoga classes with our certified instructor, Alvin Temple. Our Yoga classes are designed with a true beginner in mind. The classes help students achieve basic fundamental Yoga poses comfortably. It is important to understand that even the basic Yoga poses will give an adequate workout.
